Honeymoon locations

My fiancée and I have been talking about honeymoon locations recently and can not agree on anything. She wants to go to Hawaii, Bahamas, or other Caribbean locations. I have no interest in visiting any of those places. Anyone here have any cool ideas that we may be over looking.

Thanks for any help!

I was going to suggest Western Canada but having seen where you are located it’s a redundant suggestion.

We chose Fiji for our honeymoon destination. Has anyone visited there? If so any comments? Thanks for everyones opinion!

Good choice for a relaxing time. Enjoy yourselves and best of luck.

Welcome back Steve, popular thread for you this one! My choices have been Jersey, Oshkosh and Vegas. The last was best because it will be the last!:)

This is a good example of how are marriage will be. She will want one thing and I will want another thing and then we will compromise and do what she wants.:D

No…this is the way of life! For some unexplained reason, women always get what they want, but I have never understood why this is the way…is it because men are too caring and dont want to cause any upset, or is because we are weak when it comes to dominance over the female gender?

“My suggestion to you would be Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. I have never been myself, but know of others that have been, and all have said how wonderful it was.

Please let us know where in the world you decide to go…!”

My fiancée and I have been to Arizona dozens of times and she has been to hawaii at least a half dozen times. I have never been to Hawaii and I would only go to see the Pearl Harbour Memorial.

The other day a whole bunch of Sandal’s Resort magazines and brochures (Caribbean locations) came in the mail. I am guessing my fiancĂ©e requested those brochures. This is a good example of how are marriage will be. She will want one thing and I will want another thing and then we will compromise and do what she wants.:D

You want to relax, not rush anywhere? If I could do my honeymoon again i`d go for a slow boating holiday across Scotland starting in Inverness taking in Loch Ness. Beautiful scenery , enough to do but remote enough to relax and “be romantic”.

Yeah, but who do you get to operate the locks, my missus hates it.

I would like to go some where I or my fiancée have never been. That is hard because my fiancée has been all over the world. We decided that we want to go to a place where we can relax because we both will need it after the wedding. We decided against Europe, Australia / New Zealand, and Asia because if we went to one of those places we would be running around trying to see everything that we would not be able to relax. My fiancée really wants to go to the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas but she has been to the Bahamas before and the Bahamas do not appeal to me at all. Has anyone ever went on vacation to Argentina or Chile? Places like that appeal to me more.

Wow. Rather limited for choice arent you if you take Asia, Australia/NZ and Europe out of the equation?

There’s more Japanese tourists in Hawaii than there is in Tokyo

True, but I like Japanese.

Hawaii varies widely depending on where you stay. Besides, if your fiancee want’s to go there, no harm in saying ‘yes’ and making her happy.

It will be good practice for the remainder of your marriage. 😀

.
Or Hawaii isn’t that bad if you find the right resort (news flash..the higher priced ones are usually better)…and with the dollar/pound exchange rate you should do well.
And you can see the new museum at Pearl Harbour.

Not too sunny, but definatly relaxing…how about Alaska or the Canadian wilderness.
A good excuse to get a floatplane ride.

Hmmmmm, I went to Scotland and nearly killed us both, setting up the auto on the camera while standing at a stunning Scottish waterfall, I tripped and fell and we both nearly went over the edge, the resulting picture tells it all, had I known of subsequent events, I would have made sure I landed on top and ****** the consequences.
