I hope you’re not getting bored with all these exotic aircraft?! The last day wore on and the sun climbed overhead and the haze didn’t go away. We were situated next to the rescue and police motor launch dock, with a 6-8 foot drop into the water, any thoughts of a refreshing dive were cast aside as this 6 foot long thing patrolled along the jetty:

I think they are wonderful Darren. Love Hong Kong – I was there in October 2012. In the two days saw more exotica than any other airport. Only problem with that place is to get optimum photos you need a bit of luck with weather and atmosphere. The planes are just a little bit too far away for the killer shot although you have done some great work here. We never got chance to go on Skydeck as they were landing on 07s but we got ferry to Sha Lo Wan and got landing shots and taxi / departure shots. Most of my shots at Hong Kong are on the ground as a result. I notice you got a lot of sharkleted Airbus’ – they look so smart. An airport which is a notch up in terms of vantage points and photo quality is Beijing. Magnificent airport and although variety is less it’s still great. Don’t mention the Silkway. I missed that at Bourgas in 2012. Left the spot for lunch then came back 30 mins later and saw it parked up with no chance of a shot of it 🙁 You were lucky with that as it’s a night flight I think.
