Hooray! Säve set to expand!

From Göteborgs Posten (my local newspaper) today.

For those few Forum members who can’t read Swedish, here is my personal translation, with comments:

Ryanair profits and passenger numbers continue to increase. The Gothenburg-London (Stansted, actually) route accounts for half the passengers flying from Gothenburg City airport. The airport (terminal) is now being extended. (Translator’s note: Presumably from one corrugated iron shed to two!)

The airline industry is in crisis in many areas today. Irish Ryanair is one company that is bucking the trend. 290,000 passengers travelled last year from Gothenburg City Airport to Stansted outside London.

(I hope they also increase the number of baggage handlers from 2 to 4, for example. It’s a 45 minute wait to get your bags, as those 2 guys have to sweat putting the outgoing bags on the departing aircraft first, during its 20-minute turnround, then it’s our arriving passengers’ turn)
