Hornet Moth,any Ideas which one?

In 1960-61(sorry age has made me a bit vague) I lived in Luton and my neighbour would take me flying in a Hornet Moth. The informatiom I can be sure of is it was jointly owned by my Neighbour Stan Webster. He was I believe Hanger manager for McAlplne Aviation. I would love to know if that aicraft is still around and a photo of it either then or now if it still survives would be great.

Not a lot to go on I know.

Hi Paul,

According to my 1967 copy of Veteran & Vintage Aircraft by L. Hunt, G-ADKL is listed as being at Luton with an owner “now J. M. Kingsmill-Moore” – could that be the same one?
If so she is still “alive and well” and based in France (according to Air Britain) but still “G-” plated.

A bit of a long way round, but G-INFO lists all the Hornet’s and you can delve into their previous owners.

Just click on one, and follow the links ie Full registration history
