Hospital Vampire

Does anyone know what happened to the ex-Woodford Vampire that was sitting in the grounds of Standish hospital, near Stroud, during the early 80’s? It was on the verge of disintegration then, so I am not too hopeful – but it would be nice to know it found a home.

That’s a bit of a state – that would be a challenge even to Jon H to fix that one:D

Oh I dont know, looks marginally better than the FB5! 😉

What happened to the internals then, are they stored or have they already been parted out?

According to the caption to the photo, this was it at Standish Hospital in 1975. I’m afraid I can’t acknowledge the author of the photo. I know it’s not me but I have no record of its source. So if I’ve upset someone, I apologise in advance.

A quick perusal of Wrecks and Relics (The album) tells me that it went on in 1989 to become the “founder member of a private collection at Birlingham, near Evesham”.

Nothing more recent I’m afraid, but it does give the serial XE979, so Google my find you the answer…
