Ok everyone, I’ve been browsing this forum for a few years and enjoyed reading the postings, I’ve only recently started to contribute, hopefully constructivley. On the whole, the postings, debates, topics, whatever you call them are intersteing, and informative from people with a passion for aviation and with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
However, recently, a childish and imature elemant has emerged that us becoming a real pain in the neck to all those that just want to discuss aviation in a sensible way.
Let’s be honest, at 46 I’m possibly one of the oldest forum users. I’m here because I share a common interest in aviation and I’m interested in YOUR views and experiences and I’d like to share mine.
I understand and appreciate there are younger users of the forum that also have the same interests, that was a lot of us many years ago. Things have now moved on, there were no home pc’s in those days, just hours spent studying airline timetables and standing in the rain on the roof of the Queens Building LHR!!!! I digress. With respect, the younger users of the forum don’t always have the same life experience and interaction skills, maybe some of us are not making allowances for this.
My suggestion is to those, myself included, that do find some postings irritating, ignore them, just pass over them and go onto the next posting that you find more interesting. I’m sure there’s room here for us all, try to be patient, tollerant and keep an open mind. God knows the world needs it right now!!!!!!!!!! I’ll give it a go.
This is only a suggestion and I mean no disrespect to anyone.

Green 320 it just depends what time of the morning either my cat or my sister wakes me . Any time before 5:45 and im childish and miserable

I have noticed that most arguments occur when an under 18 states something then an over 18 comes along and contradicts them, im only saying dont include me into your arguments, I, like what purser does, usually ignore them then find something interesting to read/reply to

My holiday was great, as was the XLA flights. It was nice and hot and where I was staying, we could see every plane arriving and departing Paphos airport which was good. I even saw Siberian Airways and all the odd Russians there.

I am alluding to self control, which is essential whatever your age or which century you live in!
I believe you are 12 years old, in which case you should count it as a privilege to be able to correspond in a responsible manner with others who are interested in aviation.

The General Discussion forum is an ‘anything goes’ forum. This is an airline specific forum and therefore should not be used like the chat room the GD forum is used as.

Very eloquently said Purser, i’m sure most of the genuine thread posters on this forum would totally agree with your sentiments
