How do I insert a poll?

Fellow forumites, polls have unfortunately in the past been misappropriated so the option has been disabled for all users. If you would like a poll please request one through one of the moderating team; we’ll be happy to take time out and help.

Hi Phillip, I can think of a number of factors why. I’m investigating.

Inserting a poll

Firstly you need to find somewhere that is paying minimum wage….sorry wrong kind of poll.

Find an opening and slide your poll into it.

alternatively, using a post to start the process then a series of threads to tidy things up a bit.

….I dunno, I give up.

Can you not see the option two boxes down from “manage attachments”? Applies to new threads only, you cannoy start a thread then try to add a poll later.

ALl I get when I click Post New Thread are:

Miscellaneous Options
[tick box] Automatically parse links in text
[tick box] Disable smilies in text
Attach Files
Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg kmz pdf png psd txt zip
[Button] Manage Attachments
Thread Subscription
Notification Type:
[Drop Down Menu]

And that’s it. No option to create a poll – unless my membership doesn’t allow me to create a poll.

I’ve checked out the FAQ and can’t find the ‘Yes! post a poll’ checkbox. What do I do?
