how do they do it!!!!!!

Thomas Cook airlines, how do they fit 280 seats in a 757?
ok for a 1 hour 20 min flight to Turin from Gatwick, its bearable, but it must be awful for the people who do Canary island packages and spend 4 hours in these cramp conditions.
But saying that both legs were on time/early, and a good hot meal was served both ways, plus drinks/snacks trolly and call button shop service. There was 8 crew who were very helpful especially organising skiing crocks so they could get the broken limbs in extra leg room seats.
Excellent rolling start while cornering at Gatwick:rolleyes:

yes i think 30″ was the size
there was one 6foot 5″ guy who had to be moved has he could not physically sit down, in a normal seat!
hopefully on a Gambia flight you would get a A330 with seat back entertainment, would be bad look to get the old 767 without it!

As far as I know they have either 35″ or 34″ seat pitch, which is actually greater than a lot of Long-Haul aircraft (like DL’s and CO’s).

According to seatguru.com, the Thomas Cook 757-300s have 274 seats with a miserable 30″ of seat pitch. I was a little sceptical when I read your comment about how they have 34-35″.

Continental 757-300s apparently have 216 seats – albeit in a two class layout – with economy class seat pitch at 32″. Delta has three different layouts, and one, chosen at random, has 223 seats – again in a two class layout – with economy class seat pitch at 30-32″.

I assume you’re talking about the 753. As far as I know they have either 35″ or 34″ seat pitch, which is actually greater than a lot of Long-Haul aircraft (like DL’s and CO’s). But I think they just push them all in for the revenue like. I think the 753 has a max capacity of 289 or 292 or something around there. Aside from that it’s great to hear good stuff about TCX, I’m flying with them to The Gambia this October/November, from LGW, and it’s good to hear that someone has had a favorable experience on one of their flights 😀
