Because the Biaggi thread on Historic has now run to four pages, there is obviously a lot of information I would be loathe to lose, for instance, if I lost internet access.
So, the question sounds simple and probably is to anyone with an ounce of common sense. Is it possible to save a thread in it’s entirety so that I can still look at what is saved even if I no longer have internet access?
I use Mozilla Firefox if that makes any difference.

Two methods I use:
1. Save as – as explained above.
2. If you have a pdf writer installed, then from the “print” command you can save a page to a pdf, which can be quite useful.
Are you also aware that Google keeps copies of webpages on its server for a little while? So if a forum or other website disappears for whatever reason, you can often find at least part of it on Google. Type “Key Forum Biaggi” into Google and then looked for the “cached” link under an entry which leads you to a version saved on Google, not Key’s servers. There are usually several copies with different timestamps, so search for the most complete. It is a last ditch rescue for when servers die etc but can be very useful.;)

As you can appreciate we have alot on the plate at the moment..
Really?
Has something occurred recently then?
On a serious note Peter I am sure that we all appreciate the efforts of Moggy, Bruce and yourself.

Thanks for that.
I know I’m not on my own, but some threads have an awful lot of effort put into them and for me it’s threads like the Moxey thread and now, particularly, the Biaggi thread. I would be mortified if for any reason I lost all that information. Quite a few people have put a lot of effort into that thread.
Thanks again.

Kev,
In Thread Tools, you can use the drop down menu to ‘Show Printable Version’.
In this format you should be able to select an option to ‘File Save’ – then you can normally select the type of file; I normally use the ‘Text file’ option.
You can ‘archive’ all sorts of threads! 🙂
