How does the Popemobile travel…….

Had me thinking, how does it travel about the world, I’m sure it doesn’t have its own C-130? More thought suggested that the glass showcase is detachable and it all goes into the standard Popeplane. Then it must be a rush to get it out and re-assembled to reach the foot of the steps for the Pope to enter. 😀

Booze fridge in the back?
Proper window blinds and compartment seperation for those special times with little boys.
Some parts of Catholicisim is as fundementally sick as any other extremist believers in imaginary friends.

Don’t forget, the original popes got into office by mass murder. The handbag on fire is to keep the smell of the poor at bay. Based on great respect of the common people isn’t it.

Get shut of him, his churches and all the others too.

But now both he and his ice-cream van have gone! I enjoyed the Matt cartoon last week – as the Popemobile threaded its way though the crowd a voice shouted “Two choc ices and a 99 please”.

Sorry to prick your balloon, but it has air filters and oxygen to defeat chemical and biological attacks. 😉

The pope really has a lot of faith in the Ye Almighty… Mercedes.

I read somewhere it is capable of 99mph. At that speed I was wondering if where the Pope sits is fitted with an air bag other than himself that is.

I hear he bought it on the internet using Papal.

Sorry I’ll get me coat.

I like to think of myself as a reasonably mature, sensible person but I look at the popemobile and all I can think is how funny it would be to go in there and `drop one` just before he is sealed in 😀

When will the Flying Spaghetti Monster be welcomed in the same manner?

One would hope that the Flying Spaghetti Monster wouldn’t get welcomed in the same manner…

…the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a deity…..the Pope is not! 😉

Kev

I regret to say that you have a point. That’s the wonder of the irrationality of religious belief – the glass is always half full.

Indeed, I would welcome the day we are touched by his noodly appendage but unfortunately the country as a whole just isn’t ready yet :(.

Its powered by small boys who are chained to a tread mill with Rosary beads.

*Snigger*

I am wondering what percentage of the British people are as interested in this visit as the media seem to be.

Hopefully getting much fewer by the decade.

Out of respect for the Pope’s heritage I expected her to sing Wir Fahren Gegen England.

Nice of the BBC Vatican Broadcasting Corporation to keep those Nazi atheists amongst us entertained with SuBo’s rendition of I Have a Dream…

Sky High.

But surely the invincibility and infallibility of Catholicism must have been reinforced by the survival of Pope John Paul? You’re not suggesting their glass was half empty rather than half full?

Ah that explains it, I saw it on TV this evening and thought how sweet of that old man to be out selling ice creams to all those people queuing for the sales.

Possibly because one of his predecessors was nearly killed, if I recall in Rome. Papal infallibility must have been shattered that day! I am wondering what percentage of the British people are as interested in this visit as the media seem to be.

For a man who is the representative of the Catholic Church worldwide, and who one would expect to have an unshakeable faith and belief in God, why does he need all the armour plate and bulletproof glass?
