I am curious as I have seen figures of up to £100,000 mentioned on this forum for a large aircraft.
Obviously a crane(ortwo) a low loader, escort, maybe the telephone and electricity company if it snags overhead wires plus the council along the way to replace any damaged steet furniture. I am not incuding dismantelling and reassembly in this as I am assuming a volunteer workforce for that.
Steam Locomotive preservation groups do this fairly regularly and a large express engine and tender can weigh in at up to 130 tons with tender so two low loaders are needed(but no cranes) If the above prices are similar this would not happen as often as it does.
As I said I am just curious but I would like to see the cost breakdown on this as it seems to be the main problem as to wheather an aircraft survives the scrapper or not.
