How NOT to scrap an old Trident

Stumbled across this Youtube Video earlier…. as you do.
Absolutely horrified to see what happened in the days before proper checks carried out and competency verified etc.

Rather sad to see the end, but at least the cockpit was saved for preservation.

So here’s the rather unorthodox demise of G-AWZU at Stanstead back in 2003 😡

That was ace http://www.mocgb.net/forums/images/smilies/yahoo/41.gif

Poor old Trumpton, that damn fire just refused to go out, I mean, that never happens in training. http://www.mocgb.net/forums/images/smilies/yahoo/24.gif

Still, all ended well & they all could soon return to their pool & darts tournament.

Looks like pretty standard Machine-Driver practice to me…

…I haven’t been to site yet where an excavator hasn’t dug-up, buried, run-over or set-fire to something expensive! :diablo:

Gave the Crash-Crews a good training exercise anyway. 😀
