Folks,
The first “practical” (a big stretch of that word) air to air refueling system was developed by the British in years just before World War Two, is to say the least “very hard to explain” in simple terms with words. Well, I have at last come across a short article with illustrations what shows how it worked. No wonder the USAF only used it for a very short period. And no wonder the British quickly developed the drogue and probe system. But at last I know how it worked without any more questions. And the RAF was going to use this system for its Lancasters to bomb Japan if the war had continued until 1946-47!!!!!!!
