Found this video on the Think Defence Website! After watching it I couldn’t decide if I wanted to laugh, cry or start punching the wall!

How the British Army will fight in the future

So after spending nearly ten years telling everybody that the future of warfare was counter insurgency on land and the RAF and Royal Navy need to lose their cold war relics/full spectrum warfare capability in favour of spending on the army they have now changed tack! Now they produce this HIGHLY POLITICAL video stating that they need to retain a full spectrum warfare capability whilst retaining their cold war relics! – which are now essential for future possible operations!

In my opinion they have realised that with the operations in Afghanistan nearly over they can’t make their usual excuses for maintaining for presidence of funding/cash cow! Add to that the undermining effect to their argument by the RAF and Royal Navy picking up the main weight of operations over Libya they have clearly gone on political manoeuvres!
