….Put those little photos near your onscreen name to the left and add in a tagline under your screen name (something like ‘Corsair Fanatic’)? I looked all over the place for the controls to do it the other night, no success…someone can possibly explain it to me like I was 3, yes?

The thing that would go under your name but above your avatar (apparently called Customer User Text – oooh, all posh!) is quite possibly released only after a certain number of posts has been reached…
On mine it is on the Update Profile, underneath the birthdate bit but above the Additional Information.
Boost your post rate by going and taunting the modern military forum about their favourite noisey beasts or air forces, or come and play with us loonies on the general forum. (Or there is the general aviation and commercial aviation forums, but they don’t look like your scene…:eek:!)

You need to go back into the forum index page (http://www.keypublishing.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4) and access your User Menu>Edit Profile to change your user title then go to Edit Options, go to the foot of the page and select your avatar.

OK here we go.
The little picture is called an Avatar.
You will need to prepare one. The parameters are quite strict and I don’t seem to have them to hand, but basically you will use a programme like Photoshop to reduce an image to a GIF file that is small in both physical dimensions and byte size.
Once you have that somewhere handy – your desktop perhaps – you go to the main forum menu > user menu > edit profile > edit options > avatar.
Clicking here on ‘more info’ should give you all the gen you need.
If you haven’t the necessary skill or software to produce the .gif file from your selected image you pm me and I’ll do that part for you.
