I have a friend coming over from Poland and will be here the same weekend at legends. Does anyone know if there are any organized trips running from London?… And if not, what it the best way to get to Legends by public transport?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thank you.

In that case, I think they’d be surprised at the distance most of us walk once we get into the show. When I go to airshows I probably walk further than I’ve walked in the previous fortnight.

Train to Legends
Curiously, the IWM site does not mention the local station, Whittlesford, which has been suggested in this thread. Presumably, most visitors are not considered up to a 1.5mile walk! (There is no bus between Whittlesford Station and the airfield.) Whittlesford is on the Liverpool St. – Cambridge line.

Yes Whittlesford railway station is a short walk or bus ride to the airfield. The added attraction is that the Red Lion is right next door to the station, so you can have a pint of ale before catching your train.

I have read that if you get to Cambridge by train there are shuttle busses out to Duxford. If I’m wrong you can guarantee someone better informed will put the correct info on here shortly. Hopefully He/She will enjoy the show.
