I see in the photographic forums that some images are ‘attachments’ to the post and have a thumbnail which you click on to view the bigger image.
How do you do this?
Is it a feature of the forum somewhere?
Thanks

Ok I give in!!! How do you post images directly onto this forum using an image hosting site?

What happens, is if you click on a thumbnail a separate browser opens up with the full sized image in it (you will note that the cursor changes – probably from an arrow to a pointing finger if you move the cursor over the thumbnail image – oh – and I just noticed a message pops up too).
There is an alternative way of posting full size images directly into the forum, but that entails hosting the files somewhere else on the Internet – in some webspace you own, or through an image hosting site.
Here’s an image that I host on my own webspace:

And here’s an image hosted by Key Publishing using the upload facility:

But can some thumbnails not be enlarged? Would this depend on the type of zip?

Aha! So that’s how it’s done. I actually managed it once and didn’t know how I’d done it

Thanks 🙂
Had missed that option!
Just tested it with some photos from Kemble…

Yes it is, when posting click on the ‘manage attachments’ button below, then click ‘browse’ to select a JPG file (several can be attached to one post) then click ‘upload’ at the bottom of that dialog. The software will then create the thumbnail for you.
Feel free to try it in this thread.
