How to trace squadron history of serviceman?

My neighbour joined the RAF(VR) as an engine fitter in January 1946. His service number is 2292045. R A Swarbrick AC II

In his Service book he has a stamp of RAF Kirkham (where he did his trade training) and also RAF Driffield.

He can no longer remember the squadrons he served with or the stations but would love to know.

Is there anywhere that he could write to to obtain a copy of his service record?

His memory is failing him and he struggles to remember details such as the engines he worked on, although he seems to think merlins and some radials. I have googled and the info available suggests he would have worked on Wellington, Anson and Mossies for 10 Air Navigation Squadron.

As a fitter would he have worked for the training squadron or been attached to another unit? Hope someone can help.
