How will England get on at the World Cup? Place yo

With all the problems dogging our team…How do you think they will get on?

It would be nice to see them do well but I am not getting too built-up for anything spectatular. What do we think?

Regards

Ben

Yes, well done, but they have a knock out game now against a red hot Denmark!

Well done England on qualifying. I didn’t see muh of today’s game, but the result matters more than the manner. I gather the game was rather nerve-wracking.
Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the tournament!

We have every chance on taking 6 points from the Argentina and Nigeria games. Don’t forget the Argies are probably more scared of Owen than we are of Batistuta or Crespo.

We also have a better defence, and over a one off match, an energetic midfield (Butt, Dyer, Hargreaves) can match a more skilfull one.

erm, without wanting to be pedantic, but if you’re going to correct the spelling, at least do it right.

Is it the end of the world if we don’t win? We haven’t done so for 36 years, we know no different really!

Rabie – Ljunberg

We’ll get to the second round but then loose to France (runners up of our group face winners of theirs)!
If we’d have had Gerrard fit, I’d be tipping us to go a long way.

I’ll keep my support up till the end, see my image.

I hope that we will do alright but i’m doubtful, our team is quite weak compared to others in my opinion.

I doubt we’ll come anywhere… all our squad are cripples.

England will probably manage a draw with Sweden, a win against Nigeria and lose against Argentina. (Don’t rule out any ‘hand of God’ type antics or cynical attempts at getting an England player sent off.)I don’t think 4 points will be enough to get them through the first stage, although I’d like to see them through with nine points and more importantly, without further injuries.

Unfortunately, I have this horrible feeling that Beckham’s injury will break down, either from the sheer effort that man puts into every game, or as a result of another cynical challenge, the likes of which broke his foot (and Neville’s), in the first place.
