HS748 Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
I have a full set of 748 maintenance manuals I am looking to dispose of. Looking for exchanges etc.
These are updated to a few years back so are a good upto date(ish) resource of information.
Quite a few books and all heavy so collection recommended.
Any offers on exchanges?? Im still looking for a Canberra B(I)8 (or any part of that side of the Canberra family) Parts Manual

Hi, I already have a considerable collection of Canberra Manuals. From B2 upto B62 with a load in between.
However I am looking for the B(I)8 Schedule of Spare Parts or Illustrated Parts Manaul for that family only as I have nothing at all on it.
The item on e-bay is the Pilots Notes only. I know its strange but not something I collect and something that is of very limited use to my requirements.
Pretty sure ive tried Newark in the past but I shall try again, wont hurt to try again. Tried Flixton as well, and they wanted a copy if I ever found one.
I would take it in any form.

Hi Fox VC10, Don’t know if this helps, but someone is selling Canberra B(I)8 APs on cd on ebay. See here:-

Manuals
Can I presume from what you have said, Chris, that you want/need hard copy, not a CD?
I have access to a Canberra B2 IPC and part 1 of 2 of the PR9 IPC but they are both digital copies.
I think the group have some manuals of various sorts. Not sure what they are and won’t probably know until we can have a trawl through them some time in the New Year.

Have you enquired at Newark?
Iām not sure what, if anything came with the B(I)8 Mod from Abingdon, but it might be worthwhile asking the question 970 catalogued APs mentioned on here!
The contact details for the Curator can be found at the bottom of this page! š

Hi, thanks for the pointers. No joy with the IWM that I can see.
Havent tried the RAFM as yet. That will be a last resort as the cost of copying it will be a little prohibitive and they wont allow me to scan it (understandably). I have used them in the past when ive needed “that elusive manual” and they are very helpful.
On and off talk to the guys at Kemble but they only have PR9 – its nearly but not quite the side of the Canberra family that im after. I have helped them out in the past with information in the past for some of the systems for the PR7 strangely. Wife’s health problems preclude any further involvement.
Air Atlantique only have the what I call the early Canberras. I have even tried contacts that I have in New Zealand and Germany.
Ive been looking for this elusive IPC for the last three/four years (on and off) to add to my rather “boring” collection.
Just had a thought, has anyone got a contact for the SAAF Museum??

Have you tried the online catelogue of what the IWM hold we have found real gems and got all the Form 700’s and manuals from that source for one of our aircraft also the RAFM hold a bit of stuff.
The other option could be Air Atlantique Heriatge or whatever they currently call themselves or the guys at Kemble and North Weald they all operate and or own Canberra’s in flying and restoration to flight status.
If you get stuck with the above let me know and I will dig a couple of contacts.I used to work at Woodford on the line on 748 and other types and the project the guys are doing at Liverpool deserves the manuals etc if anyone does and we will assist if possible also with transport if need be of what you have as we a have a lot of members and contacts around the UK.And a couple of guys who transit up and down the country frequently

Other manuals or parts exchange is definitley preffered.
Cash sale wouldnt go down to well with the masters of the forum… although push came to shove etc
Please bear in mind the distance for pick up. I am to the North of Shoreham Airport, West Sussex, although that makes it good for the early Aerojumble.
Also got the Illustrated Parts Catalogue as well which is the very in depth version.
I am really DESPERATE for a B(I)8 family Canberra Parts manual…….. there has to be one out there somewhere…

748 manuals
We (the Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group) would be interested in the manuals, FoxVC10, as we’re putting G-BEJD back together at Liverpool.
I/we will get our heads together and see what we’ve got for swapsies. Do you have a cash price alternative in mind should we not have something to interest you parts-wise?
