I tried their website a few days ago, but couldn’t find any report of the parade. I suspect that the english-language version of the website has only a small subset of the total info. Or perhaps my elderly fingers just lack web-navigational skills…

Jane’s Defence Weekly is quoting the director of Taiwan Defense Review as saying that the presence of booster rockets “could mean one of several things…The first is that they just could not get the ramjet engine quite right. The second is that the missile is heavier than they expected.”

I almost spewed a mouthful of hot coffee over my desk when I read that. Have all these ‘experts’ forgotten what ramjet-powered missiles used to look like before the era of integrated rocket-ramjet powerplants?

Yeah, we all know what the rocket boosters are, the ramjets can not produce static thrust so the Boosters are used to actually launch the thing……….bloodhound anybody?:rolleyes: Janes really can be cr*p somtimes.

勁旅亮相 武器攝魂

武器大觀
昨天是中華民國96年雙十國慶，也是陳水扁總統8年任期最後一次國慶大會，國防部特別以「國防表演」名義迴避「閱兵」的爭議，在昨天國慶大典上向國人展示國軍現役的精良武器及部隊。

其中，首度在國人面前公開展示，由國軍自製研發的天弓三型地對空防空飛彈和雄風三型超音速反艦飛彈，最受各界矚目。另外，包括雲豹八輪甲車、海軍陸戰隊突擊登陸艇，以及各式現役飛彈，也都吸引在場觀禮人士目光。
而平常難得一見的國軍特種部隊，昨也以各式服裝、配備亮相。這些國軍健兒，在作戰時往往要執行最艱困的反恐、滲透、突擊及偵蒐任務，堪稱「精銳中的精銳、勁旅中的勁旅」。

昨天最大的遺憾是，原定在總統府前定點跳傘的陸軍傘兵神龍小組，搭直升機在總統府上空盤旋待命近兩小時，最後因雲層低於跳傘容許高度，取消任務。

雄風三型超音速 反艦飛彈
國防部軍備局中山科學研究所研發生產的「雄風三型超音速反艦飛彈」，具有超過二倍音速的飛行能力，可迅雷不及掩耳攻擊在海面上的船艦，由於其射程可達130公里，因此在台灣海峽上配備雄三反艦飛彈的巡防艦，均具封鎖出入中國上海港船艦的能力。

目前海軍計劃把雄三反艦飛彈部署在成功級飛彈巡防艦上，我國也將是繼中國、印度後，第三個擁有超音速反艦飛彈的亞洲國家。

天弓三型地對空 防空飛彈
「天弓三型地對空防空飛彈」是國防部軍備局中山科學研究院所研發新一代防衛性武器，性能可媲美在波斯灣戰爭中屢建奇功的美國愛國者二型飛彈；弓三飛彈可採垂直方式發射與車載發射型，由於射向不受限制，接戰範圍較愛國者二型防空飛彈強。此外，這次並展示的「天弓三型機動相位陣列雷達」，具遠距離偵搜能力、同時追蹤多個空中目標，可在極短時間內連續發射飛彈，迅速攔截、殲滅進犯的敵機及飛彈。

功能：反飛機、反彈道飛彈與反巡弋飛彈

海軍陸戰隊「AAVP7兩棲登陸突擊車」素有「海上蛟龍」之稱，全車由鋁合金材質製成，供陸戰隊員搶灘登陸使用，並能向內陸挺進；車身兩側波浪型外掛式裝甲，可提升戰場存活率，是目前性能最優異的兩棲戰鬥車，也是美國海軍陸戰隊現役裝備。
