Hello, I have recently become a member, as I have noticed several references to 233 Squadron on this forum. I am researching my father’s RAF war record and he as posted to 233 on 2 Nov 1940 until 11 Jan 1942 as an LAC (engine fitter). I am interested to find out anything about any Hudsons with the markings ZS-N that were in service with the Squadron during his time there. I have found an account online of a PO Williams being shot down in a Hudson N7374 ZS-N on 3 Nov 1940, so I guess that Dad didn’t see that one. Does anyone know details of any subsequent Hudsons given the ZS-N letters?

Regarding the loss of AM541 ZS-N on 27-7-41 I have two of the crew names Sgt. Downer and Sgt. Attwood but the CC Hudsons usually had a four man crew. Does anyone have the other two crew names. Graphil, i wonder did your Dad makes any reference to them in his notes?
Regards
Tony K

Those co-ordinates put it a long way from home:confused:
If you type the 1940 date into http://www.crashplace.de/output.php you will get quite a lot of info.
