Threw a bid into an auction at the last minute and ended up with a Huey engine cowl.
I am assuming from the 205 cast inspectors stamps and the style it is from a UH-1D.
This was said to be from a village in Vietnam near An Khe so possible its from the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Radcliff.
I expressed my suspicion on the provenance when picking it up – auctioneer says two local men have Vietnamese wives and often go out and bring back these pieces.
