Just been past Exeter and noticed a hunter being unloaded from a trailer. Anyone know which one this is?

G-VETA was still there when I drove past this morning.

I thinks she’s just got airborne did’nt have time to get out of the house but it sounded like a AVON (12.30ish)

Excellent news. I loook forward to seeing G-VETA around and about later in the season. Thanks for the updates chaps.

Hi all
G-VETA is outside cos theres no room at the inn lol (winter maintaince the hanger is packed with 9 !!! YES NINE Hunters) and she’s only waiting for a pilot to come and get her….. The second hanger is due online April.
P.S. The Oman jet is a T66B

G-VETA was at North Weald on the 22nd so she has flown in the last week.

Is G-VETA in external storage? Shame if it is, it always looks special in the all-black colour scheme.
G-VETA was certainly stored outside on Saturday (as you can see from my photo) but doesn’t seem to be suffering from it. The Hunter Flying Club will be taking over a second hangar shortly so there’ll be much more space undercover. Incidentally, I gather the re-registration of G-VETA that was reportedly about to take place is now not happening.

No, not at all. G-VETA is very active as far as I’m aware.

Any pics of the Vampire you delivered ?
Hi Dave, here’s a couple of pics of XE985 just before we set off. Not much to look at in unrestored state, but the woodwork is in excellent condition and, hopefully, things will improve in due course!

Well here’s the piccie as promised. The quality’s not up to much I’m afraid. By the time we got there today is was just about to get dark so it was a bit hit and miss!

Why ?
What have you bought now Mark ?
😀 😀
I bought the pod of Vampire T.11 XE985 from Gwyn Jones (the Red Bull Sea Vixen man) last year. My current storage arrangements have come to an end and so I’ve had to fall back on “Plan B” and store the old girl with some Hunter chums at Exeter until I can find somewhere closer to home.

I’ll be the one with a Vampire fuselage hanging off the back of the car!

I know of one Hunter which was recently delivered to a private owner, quite sure it was already in place on the 25th though! Can you post some more specifics? Colours, markings, single or twin-seat version etc…
