Hi All,
Can’t we all just wait till it’s all done and dusted and we know the final word on the matter ? I concur with j_ja80 & Bruce POSTS 644/45….

Geoff.

I would say that he is a very lucky individual.

I doubt he feels like a “very lucky individual” at the moment, in fact I can’t imagine what the poor soul must be going through.

Alan. Fair comment. Sadly a minority appear to need reminding/informing. 🙁

So, perhaps we should be cautiously optimistic until there is corroboration, in view of everything which has gone before, as I am sure you would agree.:)

As observed by aviation journalist John Walton on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/thatjohn/status/641403109500129280

Let’s all repeat: if your sentence starts with “CNN says” about aviation, maybe wait until that’s confirmed directly.

I find the recent discussion awkward and distasteful. Please consider what you are discussing or hypothesizing when there are possible legal outcomes or an individuals’ personal and professional fate is at stake. Consider how you might feel if you were the subject of such discussion.
Family, friends, colleagues and the media read these pages.

I think it is only one stupid, irresponsible post in an otherwise well conducted thread. An apology or, better still, a deletion would be welcome.

I think the majority of us are well aware of that Tim.

Although the secrecy surrounding his condition and location will continue to generate speculation in the press.
I of course realise it’s being done to protect him and his family from the tabloid press, and TV media

This doesn’t help though.
The Mid Sussex Times… “..Police said Mr Hill’s condition is improving but are unable to say whether or not he remains in hospital…”

Cant charge him with anything until the AAIB investigation is concluded, and even then it is probably unlikely.

Exactly. No more “Meddling” in this thread, please….

I would say that he is a very lucky individual. I’m not sure what happens next though. Manslaughter charges? Will they throw the book at him?

Not a very nice thing to say. It will only result in the thread being locked again.

Yes, he is. Since he has not been questioned, let alone been charged with anything, are you being wilfully provocative?

Apologies for jumping the gun, but it seems Sky very quickly changed their headline. Either that or I mis-read it.

http://news.sky.com/story/1549996/shoreham-pilot-to-be-questioned-by-police

“…The pilot in the Shoreham Airshow crash has reportedly been discharged from hospital and is to be questioned “as soon as possible…”.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/aviation/11855280/Shoreham-Air-Show-crash-Pilot-Andy-Hill-to-be-quizzed-by-police.html

“..Andrew Hill faces questioning “as soon as possible” after being released from an undisclosed specialist hospital…”

Certainly do. It seems to be a quick change of headline.

Just mentioned on Sky News too.

Alan – that’s marvellous news – has it been officially corroborated? We have to be cautious these days……:)
