The guys who moved it there actually went to the trouble of drawing a large fingerprint on the canopy…
I thought they whent to the effort of superglueing the cockpit on causing it to fog up 😀

Pity the poor sod who got tasked with that job and got given 40,000 little tins of Dark Sea Grey and Matt Green…..
Sorry, couldn’t resist it :diablo:
It could have been worse. It could have been Revell’s gate guardian…

Its the ex-Chivenor gate guard complete with its original plinth as well 😮
When it arrived in Hull, Humbrol had it repainted before going ‘on the gate’. Naturally they supplied the paints 😀

Has it had a rectangular hole cut in the bottom of the fuselage for the stand?

Pretty tidy Hunter there really! Hope she goes to a good home.

I understand if you buy it there will be some assembly required. It will come in a big box, you’ll need to supply the glue.
Yes rather an irony that many locations have “plastic” FSM aircraft as guardians but that a key location associated with plastic modelling has a genuine aircraft outside

Here’s what she looked like when I photographed her 3 months ago.

It is being offered for sale by the Airfix receivers
By: dees01 - 31st March 2004 at 10:18
I think this may be a hoax. There is no way that 372 is worth as much money as is being asked for here. Also, the guys at Delta know nothing about it. The only Hunter that Delta look after that is for sale is VETA (unfortunately!)
As regards 577, mechanically, she’s pretty much complete. Currently awaiting the avionics guys to finish (Yawn!) so that the cockpit can be completed. Hopefully will fly before the Kemble Airday:confused:

I do hope Fox One stays in the UK but I doubt it will 🙁
On a more brighter note does anyone know how Ronan Harveys T7 XL577 is coming along, at least if Fox One goes we should have another one to replace it.
