Can anybody identify this Hunter with a serial photographed on the dump at Guernsey last week.
Many thanks

Why the serial XX466???? I ask this because early Hawks and some Jags have the XX prefix. Does this mean that this is a single seater that has been turned into a two seater in the 70’s or has it been aquired after use elsewhere???
Paul.

XX466 was only in FRADU service for a short time, estimated to have started in February 1984 and ending in October that same year. The Hunter respray programme started that year, so it (luckily 😉 ) missed out.

W&R16 has XX466 as perished, or as good as, at the FAA Fire School, Predannack, by 8/95.
Always thought it was interesting that this one retained its camouflage…

I guess Guernsey Airport Fire Department would be a good starting point!

I’d love to rescue it!
Any ideas where I could get any information on it?
