Flying the Hunter
If you like Hunters you will be glad to know there are a couple flying in South Africa at Cape Town International Airport.Check out www.thundercity.co.za.
They make regular appearances at airshows in South Africa. This photo was taken at the “Overberg” airshow at a military base (FAOB).On this day there was 2 hunters in display. The “blue note”from the air racing over the gun barrels make a unforgetable sound ! A beautifull aircraft.

That’s 1 paintjob not worth attempting unless you are a god with an airbrush! I tried 3 times to do this paintjob, was only satisfied with the 1/200 scale. My 1/32 didn’t turn out good enough & i got half way through trying to do the corgi.
I did see a guy selling the 1/32 1’s at a kemble airshow afew years ago very reasonably priced & probably the best paint finish you’ll ever get but like an idiot i didnt take his number.
Surely there is a decal sheet out there for it?
I was thinking more that its bone idle to buy a metal say green/brown spit or an all over black Hawk.

There is no mention of her sale on Aviation Heritage’s website, and she is confirmed for the FAAOA 50th Anniversary at Yeovilton later this month.
The website was updated on 22nd August.

re
I cant see why anyone would pay 10 times more money and not have the fun of doing it yourself. Time, admittedly can be a problem. Personally I think is bone idle to buy ready built models!

Is she still owned by Flapjack? A friend was at Clacton airshow & told me the commentator said she had been sold to a swiss businessman. Is this true?

Dont bother with the Corgi tat, go out and buy the magnificant Revell 1:32nd scale Hunter, build and paint it and it will be like having it your living room!
