During a much needed break at Butlins Bognor with the family, I escaped for an hour to go FRADU Hunter hunting.
Located at the entrance to the former RNAS Ford airfield is pole-mounted Hunter GA.11 WW654/834.
WW654 was a regular lead aeroplane for the FRADU display team the Blue Herons, and was the favourite cab of several FRADU Hunter pilots as she flew superbly – “If it looks right, it is right”.
Retired from FRADU as ‘833’ in 1987, it was ferried to Culdrose and re-finished into a grey/white finish as ‘834/DD’ for ground training. It was released into civilian hands in 1993, and pole-mounted in 1999.

All feedback welcome, publicly or privately.
Thanks for looking,
Mark

The method of mounting looks good, and shows the aircraft off well. It looks to be suffering from being out in the elements now however. Could do with a repaint and some maintenance.
Excellent pics.
Time to get out the rags and cans of WD40 lads.:D
That aside, I reckon my sig says it all!;)
