As you may well have seen, last year Andre repainted Yorkshire Air Museum’s Hunter T.7.
While the external repaint is complete work continues on this jet, particularly on refurbishing the cockpit. Eventually we hope to find an engine for her and get her into full ground running order. One item we are desperate for is a replacement canopy however, as the perspex in ours has deteriorated to the point where it would not be safe to taxy with it fitted.
In addition it really lets the rest of the airframe down now she’s looking so smart!
So has anyone got a good condition Hunter 2-seater canopy going spare please? I’m sure that the current canopy could be sent the other way should someone be able to help us out. Also any leads on a suitable runnable Avon for her, and a replacement Starboard drop tank would be appreciated…
