Hurn this morning

Late last night I was told that I might see something interesting at Bournemouth this morning.

Besides the 747SP parked up in the passenger terminal this beast drove in…
I was beaming 🙂

Is this not John Bradshaw’s Fury, which normally lives at Kemble?

I think it’s going to be based there, for the time being at least.
Some of the exhbits were wheeled outside, including Philip Meeson’s gorgeous Dragon Rapide, presumably so that they could reset the layout.

VR930’s engine has had to come off so is a doubt for the remainder of the season.

Nice to see the Sea Fury out and about, is it going to live at Hurn for a while now or was it just visiting?

Anyone got any news on the RNHF and TFC Sea Furies?????

Yes. It has a Fleet Air Arm roundel on one of the wing uppersurfaces, with an Australian one on the other (I think!)

Is it not marked up in the colours of the various nations that flew the type?

markings question?

It is a lovely looking seafury…..But please can someone tell me what the aircraft is marked as?

I looked at it in the static at Flying Legends, and it appears to have Canadian and dutch markings??

First time I’ve seen British warbird flying with a civilian reggie (other than those in “pure” civilian markings)

Nice one 🙂

Yes, it is a Chichester(?) Leopard. It has been on display in the museum for about a year now. Sadly it hasn’t flown for some time.
