I have had an email from a frien of mine asking if I can help, I thought the best place to ask would be here! Copy of his email below:
Can you help? I’ve had a section of a Hawker Hurricane tail spar for a while and i now want to find out more history of the aircraft it belonged to. All i have to go by is that is was numbered BD 713 and that apparently it crashed into a Norwegein ( however you bloody spell it) lake around ’43 ?? Can you help me with your contacts and knowledge help me trace BD 713s history, demise and the ultimate – a picture of it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The control column is for sale at Spitfire Spares (Graham Adlam?). The crash seems to have happened in Russia though, not Norway.

Thanks Jon, I saw it was in Somerset on the demobbed website. Does anyone have any contact details for the owner? Current status, etc?
Thanks
I could be wrong but I think the owner is a forum member and regular poster here.
