Scrolling down that Facebook page, there is reference to problems with the Merlin III in R4118. The blurb says that it is the “original” engine, but I seem to recall reading in Peter Vacher’s book that during the restoration of the Hurricane, a Merlin III was borrowed from the RAF Museum to get the plane airworthy.

I think I read that this was a loan arrangement pending the sourcing of another example. So is the engine that has problems still on loan from the RAF Museum or is this another engine and the original loaner has been returned to RAFM?
