I’m looking for the u shaped hoop that the port and starboard instrument panels mount to. I’ll even consider a new manufactured hoop. Also looking for drawings to make fishplate C. A tracing of an original will help too.
Thanks and Cheers

The ‘outer plate’ without the extra hole (top left ‘bulge’ in your photo) will be from a MkI. The one in your photo is from the MkII configuration.
The basic frame was the same, but you are just entering the zone where things changed to accommodate the extra length of the Merlin XX, Regards, Geoff

Hi Geoff,
That makes sense, the larger inner plate is the same by the look of it.
I have the one plate in the picture and one of the outer large plates from A availible as a swap to anyone, and as Ron asked at the start I too am looking for joint C plates, so back to the thread original subject!
Hey ho !
Ant. 😀

So I guess the next question is, were there differences in fish plates etc on different Mk’s ?
I always thought the basic main structure framework was the same,
But hey, what do I know, probally not enough

Thank you Ross,
I was guessing this is the smaller outer plate from A, but I have another outer from A that is different, one less hole, one is Gloster built and one Hawker built, there was just 4 larger plates that made up the joint ?
Confused
