Has just had its first flight from Hawker restorations new facility at Elmsett.
Video has echoes of the opening scenes from the Battle of Britain film – absolutely glorious!!
Soon to be taking residence at duxford with the rest of the Anglia restorations fleet.

Quite thrilling! π Let’s hope we see more Hurri’s take to the skies in the future!

I woke to this news this morning, here in Australia.
I couldn’t help but think of Squadron Leader Kenneth McGlashan AFC (Mac) and his lovely wife, Doreen, and how they would have loved to have seen the Hurricane take to the skies again. I am sure they are looking down from a tremendous vantage point ‘upstairs’.
Today I will listen to my taped interviews with Mac, flick through my notes on P2902 and my photo album.
What a great day.
Cheers,
Owen

Terrific news. So when’s that display with one vic of Mk. I Hurricanes and one of Mk. I Spitfires then? And the Biggin Hill Bf109e. THAT would be a show-stoping FL opener!

That’s fantastic news.
I’m looking forward too seeing this.
They also have a Tempest II under rebuild too. Anyone know how this is getting on?

Also not a facebookist so I guess i’m not allowed the pleasure of seeing this. However, I send my congratulations to Hawker Restorations and thanks for their dedication and craftsmanship in getting G-ROBT airborne.
