BBMF’s LF363 is on record as having appeared in Angels One Five and Reach for the Sky however I cannot find any details about the serial or which codes it war during these films, does anyone happen to know what they may have been?

I’ve always been led to believe that it was only PZ865 that appeared in Angels One-Five, along with the five aircraft from Portugal.
———-
Not from the Information I have, these were the Hurricanes used in the filming
PZ865 (now BBMF)
LF363 (now BBMF)
L1591 (used for studio cockpit shots, broken up and disposed of after filming)
L1592 (now Science Museum)
P2617 (now Hendon)
and the Portuguese AF examples used were,
544
554
600
601
624

The Tuck image was taken at Henlow on the 18th April 1968…coming up 50 years ago.
Note the overlarge diameter of the red in the roundel, on all the aircraft, that was changed prior to filming.

Which one (or both?) was in Battle of Britain? (If either was that is…)
Both did.
Along with the Hurricane from Canada, which constituted all 3 of the worlds airworthy Hurricanes at the time.

Thanks for that, it’s quite easy to pick out PZ865 in Angels One Five but I didn’t know that LF363 also wore the same codes, I’ll go back and watch both films again armed with that information.

Reach for the sky
T4125 / SD-K, SD-N, SD-R, SD-W, SD-X
Angels one five
Apparently (from the information I have anyway) both LF363 and PZ865 were used during filming to depict the personal mount of ‘Septic’ wearing P2619 / US-B
