Hurricane LK-A. An anoraks question.

Recently, the Real Aeroplane Companys’ Hurricane G-HURR, (the one which is in black and marked as LK-A) has gained the number ‘52024’ under the tailplane.
I know that this isn’t a civil registration or representing a British military serial. It also is not correct for the aeroplanes own original Canadian military serial.
So what is it?

It could be a telephone number or somebodys lottery numbers for all I know!!

Could somebody in the know please let us in on it.

Many thanks

Willow

Gosh, it’s obvious when you know isn’t it:)

Thanks for that Mike, glad there’s somebody out there who can see the wood for the trees!!

I can’t believe that I’ve even checked in my latest copy of the Warbirds Directory and not spotted this. I was so intent on looking for serials, I completely ignored construction numbers.

Thanks again Mike
