Seen some great responses and info given on here for requests in the past so thought i would try my hand!
I am currently looking into replicating a Hurricane flown by a local pilot to me, from Dover Kent.
So far i have his name Keith R. Gillman, the squadron, 32 squadron based at Biggin Hill, the first two letters of the code GZ and the serial number of the aircraft he was flying on the 25th of August 1940 when he was posted missing, P2755. But does anyone know the individual code letter?
Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hurricane P2755 GZ-S
Not sure if this was ever resolved but I believe the Hurricane that Keith Gillman was flying on Sunday 25th August 1940, when he was shot down over St Mary’s Bay (near Dover) had the 32 Sqdrn identification markings “GZ-S”… This is collaborated in the website link below..

I have a painting by Coulson, called`Into Battle` of 2 Hurricanes getting airborne from a mainly grass airfield,ie no visible runways.The nearest is GZ.H ,N2532.The second is GZ.V,but not possible to identify a tail number. GZ.A is visible on the ground,but faint.
Has anybody bothered to contact the 32 Squadron Association,or the Squadron directly ,as there used to be a `secondary `duty of looking after the Squadron`s Historical artefacts,etc..?

Seem to recall squadron records and quite a few of the pilots recorded everything by serial number only.
Never managed to find the ID letter for Hurricane P3351 when she was with 32 Sqn in the later part of 1940 and that was with 5 years research on and off.
