This group were news to me – have extensive links with 85 Squadron and are putting together a rather lovely looking Hurricane – only scanned the site but I havent managed to find its history yet – also planning a Fury replica –
Rocketeer – am sure you know about these guys but if you dont you need to speak to them, they seem keen to trade parts etc (unless this is your hurricane and I’m making a complete ar se of myself)
In any event the website is rather good…

To correct an earlier post (thanks Pete) that is not Paul Rogers, from the CFBG, I admit to being mislead by someone who should know better!
Yes, not CBFS – that is Darren Speechley.

It was featured on BBC Look East 2 days ago, the quality of work looked impressive, but as usual on these sort of articles, not a lot was made clear, it was stated however, that it would be a ground runner but not certified to fly due to the restraints of the CAA, I’m not an expert, but it looked a pretty thorough rebuild/restoration to me.
They told me a couple of years ago they would need to start again and strip everything down to get a chance of her flying and it would be just too much hard work.
If she looks right and sounds right that she will do nicely on the ground.:)

Advert says “not sure who made it”, it definately wasn’t the seller, as it doesn’t appear to be held together with plaster of paris….

When I was dealing with them in 2003, I was told that this was going to be a replica of the prototype, I believe they have now changed tack, and it is going to be a mk1.
