Hurricane Stringers…..

Folks, a question from a freind of mine some of you Hurricane fans might be able to answer……

‘Some times I see wooden stringers at rear cockpit fairing at Hurricane and some times aluminum? Is this correct?’

No problems Dave….keep them coming as I have spare time on my hands and will always talk about my fav aeroplane!!! Incidentally, the 41H designation for the constructors number was also used on all Hawker products including the hunter!! I have a CCF plate marked CCF/41H etc

The stringers are always wood. Some are painted silver tho’ (particularly early aircraft and Canadian Car & Foundary built aircraft)
