Just out of idle curiosity, does anyone know of any cases of a Hurri being flown with one early fabric wing and one metal? Would it have been possible? I just wonder if it might have been done for ferry purposes or at an OTU etc, there were certainly a number of fabric-wing Hurri’s still flying with training units into the mid-war period.

Certainly possible, in engineering terms. I have read that one such aircraft existed at an OCU, but I’ve never seen hard evidence for this.
