Hydro Air Cargo

The pic below reminded me of the poor desolete aircraft stuck in Lagos for the last few years, what ecactly happened when it crashed and is it able to be repaired but hasn’t been because Hydro’s pockets aren’t that big?

The aircraft landed on a closed runway and damaged the main undercarriage. Previously owned by El Al as 4X-AXD, it was decided to be too expensive to repair in situ. So far, the tail plane has been removed but basically it is still there (afaik!).

Really? That plane was there for years?!
Seems both irresponsible and illegal!
