I am a Dad Again!

I suppose that this should go in the General Discussion Forum, but, as I feel I’ve got a lot of friends here, I will press on regardless.

I am a Dad for the second time – Ethan came into this world at 4.30 this afternoon, and I told him, with 15 mins on his clock, how I looked forward to taking him and Ryan to airshows when he’s bigger. I added the carrot for his exhausted Mum that it will be to give her a break (imagining the 3 of us with a tent setting off for a Flying Legends weekend).

I was going to go to the bar this evening to wet the babies head, but am glad I am sober enough to post this message to you tonight 🙂

PS: That’s alot of “I’s” – but what the hell – I’m the Dad.

PPS: During arrival, my good lady was putting effort similar to that required to start-handle turn a DB605 (but experiencing kickback).

Nope.

I was thinking of EthanOL, a very useful aviation additive. 😉

Thank you all, for the congrats, I will show them to VR930 (sorry, that Serial No already taken Ant) when she comes home.

Ja – Yes I was there for the birth (did the porter bit with the bed from the ward into delivery suite, labour came on quickly – felt like saying “make way there, steady as she goes!”) I spectated for the chord cut and misc weighing etc, not that I didn’t want to get more involved , more like there was an efficient, well oiled machine working away and I was happy to let the mid-wifes ‘do their stuff’ (imagine being one for 30 years, as ours was – HOW MANY births?). Funny though, I did my bonding having a chat to Ethan while he was under the heat lamp, ‘chilling’. The connection was really made as I looked into those big hazel eyes. I feel we just knew there was something between us.

Moggie – sorry, EOL not thought of (should have done though, more survivable in an egg-beater 😀 ).

Cheers all

You can get more babies in the belly of a Lancaster than the belly of a woman, but I guess congrats are still in order!!! 😉

Ahem!

Don’t really approve of the old ankle-biters, but jolly good show all the same.

I bet it was really tiring. Did the Mem-Sahib get up and fetch you a drink when it was all over?

I like the name too. Any chance he can have two middle names such as Owen and Leslie? (Think about it)

😉
