I am back. Trip report

Mexico is indeed an entchanting and colourfull country, and my holidays have been great. I flew IB A320 to MAD and Iberworld A330 to Cancun. Iberworld is typical long haul charter airline. New fleet, two classes, decent food, alcohol and headseats charge, charter configuration, but in general terms, a pleasant experience. The A330 is a nice place. Smooth, stable and quiet. The outbout flight was pleasant, no turbulence with a strange take off from Madrid. I wonder why in intense heat, planes suffer from turbulences and balacing (due to long wings?). Cancun airport is like an american airport. In the middle of the jungle and full of American planes..no mexican ones¡¡¡¡. We managed to land before a strong storm broke. The flight back (9 hours and 35 minutes) was not as pleasant, but nothing dramatical. The A320 to SCQ from MAD was a bit rough…despite clear skies.
Here I am happy in Cancun surounded by Spanish sunseekers

Welcome back Keltic. A nice and simple report, filled with detail and pics too. That 330 is looking mighty fine… wish I could get back up in the air in one of those, only ever been in one once. 🙁

Thanks for the report. 🙂

I can´t remember it, but it was a kind of a coleslaw…..something quite unusual for Spanish palates, which love the local version (potatoes, veggies, olives, tunna, onnion and mahonnaise instead) and which is funnily called “Russian Salad”.:)

Thats not so bad. Do I spot the obligatory salad “guarnacion” hiding in the corner?
Serious comment though – as one who tries to enjoy his airline food (my wife would say ANY food) , providing a photo of the actual meal is a great addition to the flight report. I’ll try to do the same for my next trip to MNL.

Ah! What memories! That cold snack reminds me of a breakfast I had on a Centennial flight PMI – LGW some years ago; Sliced tomato, sliced hard boiled egg, and a roll. No tengo gordo!;)

Always enjoyable to read a trip report, not too long yet full of detail. Interesting reading to get the perspective of an airline that we are unlikely to fly. The pictures were a welcome addition too.

one of the meals

This wasn´t the main hot meal, but the cold snack two hours before landing……of course good reading is essential in any long haul flight
