i/d of an old TV Prog

Hi
Some years ago (approx 15) there was a TV series in 6 hourly parts. It was a prog (not sure if it was Fact or Fiction?) based on an Australian Infantry unit in WW! and the lead player ended up getting the VC in 1918 . Can anyone remember the name of this series as it was very good so I would love to get a copy of the VCR/DVD if one was ever made ?? I do not even know which channel it was.
Thanks in advance for ANY HELP.:confused:

Typical Aussie jingoistic crap if you ask me

The mini-series is positively anti-colonial in regards to the portrayal of the British as uncaring, and more interested in saving British lives than that of the Aussies or New Zealanders

I think this could be what you’re looking for

I think what you are talking about was a show called ‘Anzacs’ with Paul Hogan. Dimly remember watching it years ago and enjoying it. Should be able to dredge something up on Google or Amazon!.
