dark light

I heard it but could not see it

Between 19.50 and 20.00 tonight the sound of a merlin engined aircraft enjoying some spirited flying very near Filton The Sun(yes the Sun:eek:) was in my eyes so I did not get to see which a/c it was. Any ideas folks?
