As some are up that way and may be interested, bad news is it includes a meal in the mess, I hope it has improved since I was last there LOL.

Great photos Robert, especially the last one.
I thought for an experience the price didn’t sound too bad but throw in flights etc then I can see it being beyond some folks.

In the 1960’s it was a bit more restrictive at military airfields and more open at civil places. I think the guys at Lossiemouth were either looking for spys or just being bolshy!
Even taking photos of Gate Guardians at some places wasn’t allowed.

Lossiemouth is way better for photography from the outside there are at least 4 excellent vantage points around the fence, and I think £75 is really expensive and taking the p&%s, and anyone who thinks they can now get a flight for £27 return is living in a dream world. Its also an hour from Inverness. There will also be little or no nearby accommodation as it will have already been snapped up by the JW Crews. And just to respond to the comment above, I,ve been taking photographs by the fence at Lossiemouth for 25 years and have NEVER been moved on.

For those who do not know Lossiemouth well there is an excellent off base viewpoint at the end of a track by the golf course on the North side.
