dark light

I tidied up and now I cannot find my Dunlop wheel list!

Always knew tidying was bad for me!!
Anyways, could someone with thelist (Dave Burke?) please tell me what the following was fitted to:
24 x 7.25-12 tyre with AH7256 wheel (think I read the AH number correctly)

cheers!

Dove mainwheels were (are) AH8176 (steel brake drum) or AH9462 (Bi-metal brake drum). Nosewheel is AH8060
Source DMR-1-104 Series 5 and 6.
Hope this helps Tony.

Dove/Heron Wheels

AH7256 not listed in my Dunlop manual for Dove/Heron.

Dove/Heron are AH8176, AH9162, AH50434, AH50435, AH9286, AH50676, AH51547 and AH51548.

Just a thought, could that be the p/n just for the hub itself (not a hub p/n for the Dove/Heron either)

There are usually quite a number of p/n and assy numbers stamped on Dunlop (and other manufacturer’s) wheels, both vintage and modern.

A Dunlop Aviation Equipment manual I have which is un-dated has that tyre size fitted to the Balliol and Sea Balliol, HP Marathon, Avro Athena, Avro Type 707, Supermarine Attacker & Spitfire/Seafire.

Hope that helps!

Regards

Dave

Dove? Very similar to the 12″ Spitfire wheel but has a different offset.

AH7270?

Could it be AH7270? I’m trying to identify the application of a set of these wheels.

Thanks.

Mine has some numbers near it, but not that particular one. The closest is Meteor.

I don’t know about the wheel, but that size of tyre is correct for Spitfire main wheel, .

And that would be an AH8375.

I don’t know about the wheel, but that size of tyre is correct for Spitfire main wheel, Vickers Viscount nose wheel, Fokker F.27 Friendship nose wheel and Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia main wheel.

Tony,

I think you should check your number again.
