Hi all.
I got today to the IAF museum. It was a great day and I got some very nice pictures for you history fans.
Sadly, the Black Spit didn’t fly, but I did see it and took pictures of it. The flying display was the gray Stearman, number 031. It did one hell of a flying – very low, rather fast and with great moves.
Anyway, here are the pictures. Since they are pretty heavy (JPG format, but high quality so each one 1MB on average) I uploaded them to yousendit.com , so make sure you’ll donwload them before they will remove it (7 days I think).
I took pictures of probably all of the planes on display, but I’ll upload just the vintage planes – I think you’ll like them the most.

The planes were arranged that way that I couldn’t see it from 360 degrees. For example, I really wanted to take a profile shoot of the Black Spit, but I couldn’t.
The Black Spit will fly again in the next Israeli holidays. I assume it will fly a few weeks from now in the Israeli independence day.

I guess old ‘Black 57’ was hardly in the best of photogenic locations but that sun is just murderous to the paint and perspex.

I visited about 5 years ago and had a fantastic day there – well worth a visit if you’re anywhere nearby.
