okay sports fan, we got two juicy factories known for making Flankers.. inspired by my thread below.. let’s compare the quality of the two companies..
IAPO – in Irkutsk by Buryatia Mongol republic in Russian far east.. makes Su-30MKI, Su-27UB, among others.. Indians and Chinese dont seem to want their russki aircraft building in the same factory.. in competition with Knaapo.
KnAAPO – Komsomolsk-Na-Amur (meaning Komsomoslk on the Amur river) a bit further north east, in the city built by youth and love (but is really ugly) in the Russian far east.. this is where the Su-35, and 30MKK is built..according to Flanker Man, Aditya and Croboto.
supposedly based on the thread below..IAPO takes forever to deliver while KnAAPO has been fast. KnAAPO also tends to build their flankers with square tip fins with extra stuff..
